August Cool History at The National Civil War Naval Museum

The National Civil War Naval Museum presents its final Cool History event of the summer, Infernal Machines, on August 4, 2012 from 1-4 p.m.

The August Cool History programs, in conjunction with National Inventor’s Month, focus on technology and innovation in the Civil War Navies. This year, we’ll be focusing on torpedoes (or what we know today as mines), their construction and use, and some famous examples of their implementation during the War.
