The Grandparents are in town visiting and we were searching for something to do to escape the sweltering Georgia heat and we didn’t want to go swimming. On a whim, we headed over to Hollywood Connection to see what they have to offer. We wanted to take the kids skating since none of them had ever been before but we were unsure if they would let my 9 year old son, who is in a wheelchair, get on the floor. My wife asked and he was granted permission!

Boy did we all have fun. I haven’t been on skates in years and my son really enjoyed going fast. My 2 and 4 year old girls even gave it a try. Mary Elizabeth, 4, started getting the hang of it after just a few minutes.
I would really like to thank the staff at Xanadu Skate Center/Hollywood Connection for letting us push my son’s wheelchair.
